Researcher, Department of Historiography and Theory of Art

At the Institute of Art History, Tomáš Murár is researching Max Dvořák’s art history based on his previously unpublished texts. This research is supported by the Czech Science Foundation project Max Dvořák’s Opera Inedita. Institutionalization, Self-Identification, and Affectivity in the History of Art (reg. no. 25-17479S). Murár organizes the international academic conferences of The Vienna School of Art History (since 2019), and regularly publishes proceedings from these conferences in peer-reviewed international journals. He publishes scholarly articles and gives lectures on historiography, methodology, and the theory of art history from the 15th century to the present.
