Specialist librarian
Sabina Adamczykova studied at the Department of Scientific Information and Librarianship of the Philosophy Faculty of Charles University from 1977 to 1981. She graduated with a thesis entitled "Information sources in the field of theatre and the process of their improvement". She gained her PhDr in 1987. During her studies she worked at the Library of the Theatre Institute and in its newly founded OBIS information Centre from 1975 to 1985. She also worked briefly as a librarian at the Department of Greek, Roman and Latin Studies of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences in 1986.
She joined the Institute of Art History in 1986, working as the head librarian until the end of 2022. Until 2020 she processed bibliographic data relating to scientific research at the Institute of Art History and was responsible for the administration of the ASEP database, data export to RIV, and the preparation of background information for assessment of the institute. She was also responsible for purchasing foreign publications.
Between 2018 and 2023 she led and coordinated the conversion project (VISK 5) of the library's card catalogue to the Aleph system. At present she is revising the contents of the library's catalogue. She is also responsible for local and international publication exchange and participates in acquisition activities.
