In accordance with law no. 283/1992 of the Czech Academy of Sciences, as amended by law no. 420/2005, and the Statutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Art History, Czech Academy of Sciences, is pleased to announce a selection procedure for a position for the Department of Musicology.
The principal responsibility of the position will be the management of the journal Hudební věda in the role of Editor-in-Chief. The successful candidate is expected to be a respected scholar with an established record of independent research and international publications; prior experience in publishing or editing music-focused periodicals is an advantage. Applicants are required to submit a brief proposal outlining their vision for the journal’s future development.
Commencement date: April 2026 (or to be agreed on)
Working hours: 20 hours per week (half-time), with the possibility of later increasing to full-time
