Jaroslav Ježek

We cordially invite you to the launch of David Vondráček’s book on the music of Jaroslav Ježek which will take place on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 5.00 p.m. in the Musicological Library of the IAH, CAS (Puškinovo náměstí 9, Praha 6, ground floor). The evening will include a lecture by Lenka Bydžovská in Czech, “Jaroslav Ježek mezi surrealisty: Blues pro Bretona”, and by Michael Beckerman in English on “Ježek and Bilingualism”. Pianist Linda Winterová will perform Jaroslav Ježek’s compositions. The book was published in 2021, but due to the pandemic, the event can take place only now.

The book “Jaroslav Ježek zwischen Avantgarde und Jazz” (Allitera 2021) was published with the support of the Czech-German Future Fund.
The event will be broadcast live on the Facebook account of the Institute of Art History of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
